New Release 4/16/2023

Today we have released the latest version of Pioneer Writings, and with it comes a couple of new updates and features that we hope will provide for a better user experience! We have been working hard behind the scenes on this release for the last 8 months, and we hope that you will enjoy it. Included in this release are a new search experience, a dedicated series page, and an updated contact page.

New search experience 🎉

Starting today, the new search experience is live and is available to use today. It is a massive improvement to the old search functionality, and it was rebuilt from the ground up using new technology that leverages the power of AI. The new search is faster, much more accurate, provides better results, and looks much better! Checkout it out 👇🏼

As you can see, it now actually shows a list of real search result snippets from the query that was entered, and not a list of articles that match the query like how the old experience did. This allows for far more results to be shown at any given time, and also allows the user to quickly glance at the snippet to see if it actually contains what they might be looking for before clicking on the article. This featue finally brings the platform much closer to what it originally was intended to be: a place where you can quickly, confidently, and accurately search through all of the pioneer writings and find what you were looking for.

While there's always room for improvement, we think you will really like the new search experience. Please let us know how you like it, any issues you may find, or any improvements that you'd like to see. We'd be happy to see them!

New user interface changes

You may have noticed that the home page no longer has the 3 tabs "articles" "topics" and "series". The articles are still there, but the topics are now in a carousel that you can easily scroll through and quickly filter the articles based on the selected topic. This allows you to see the articles you're looking for with 1 click as opposed to 2 clicks. You can click on the left and right pager buttons if you desire, or you can just simply scroll horizontally.

The series have now been relocated into their own page. This makes it easier for us to add series page specific features in the future, like filtering and sorting for example.

It may not seem like alot, but there was alot of work involved in preparing this new release. We hope that you will enjoy these new features and improvements and that they provide for a better experience on Pioneer Writings. In the future, we have even more plans to further expand the platform to include a new landing page that will display sections featuring the latest content from our new blog and recently published articles and series. We pray that Pioneer Writings may continue to be a source of truth and of many blessings from the articles that we publish. Please head on over to the new website and take it for a spin!
